Vintage Home
Part of my love for vintage things started when we moved into our 1930's home in 2013. Since then, me and my husband have been working hard to renovate and restore each room keeping as many of the traditional features as we can.
This page of my blog will hopefully provide some ideas for vintage style home decor and keep you up to date with our progress and latest projects for our home.
We try to find vintage pieces of furniture and antiques from local charity shops and antiques centres or even pick things up from recycling centres or skips, we love bargains! Sometimes just a small change such as a new lick of paint or some new door handles makes all the difference! We changed our wardrobe wooden handles to crystal handles and it looks so much better and gives it a more vintage look.
Vintage Grey
A beautiful on trend colour to use is grey. From battle ship grey to pale lavender grey it provides a relaxed and calm atmosphere particularly in a bedroom.
We have used a subtle dove grey and dark grey in our bedroom and it works really well. We have also chosen a floral wallpaper with a slight shimmer as a feature wall.
To add a touch of vintage glamour we added a crystal chandelier and some crystal door handles to our wardrobe.
